Terms & Conditions
Mr. Cleaner provides professional residential cleaning services, including but not limited to general cleaning, deep cleaning, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, and end-of-tenancy cleaning, as agreed with the customer.
All services are carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE
Mr. Cleaner is fully insured with public liability insurance.
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage, including wear and tear due to age or condition of surfaces, furnishings, or fittings.
- Damage caused by faulty, unstable, or poorly installed fixtures or materials.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Loss or damage resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer.
Customers are responsible for securing valuables and informing us of any fragile, delicate, or high-risk items before the service begins.
PAYMENTS
- Payment is due within 7 days of service completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept bank transfer and other agreed payment methods.
- A 5% late payment fee may be applied to overdue invoices.
Continued non-payment for 4 weeks may result in the account being referred to a debt collection agency, and the customer will be responsible for all associated collection costs.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service.
- If a customer cancels within 48 hours, a cancellation fee of 30% of the accepted quote will be charged.
- No-shows (failure to be present or provide access at the scheduled time) will be treated as a cancellation within 48 hours, and the above cancellation fee will apply.
If Mr. Cleaner needs to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible and offer an alternative time.
ACCESS & SAFETY
- Customers must provide safe, clear, and reasonable access to the property at the scheduled time.
- We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if the environment is unsafe, unhygienic, or poses a risk to our staff. In such cases, the full price of the accepted quote will be charged.
- Customers are responsible for securing pets and ensuring a safe working environment.
SERVICE STANDARDS & COMPLAINTS
Any concerns regarding the service must be reported within 48 hours of completion.
If the issue is deemed genuine:
- A re-clean will be offered where appropriate.
- If the issue is not resolved after a re-clean, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.
No refunds or re-cleans will be offered for issues reported after 48 hours.
PRIVACY
All customer information is handled confidentially and managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. Information is used solely for service delivery, communication, and invoicing.
CHANGES TO TERMS
Mr. Cleaner reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will be available on our website.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be handled through the appropriate New Zealand courts or tribunals.
